德国计划归还贝宁青铜器

4月29日，德国文化部表示德国计划于明年向尼日利亚归还一批名为贝宁青铜器的文物。这些藏于德国各大博物馆的文物数量众多且价值连城。

On29April,Germany’sministerforcultureannouncedthatthecountrywillbeginreturninga“substantial”numberofpricelessartifactsknownastheBeninBronzesfromitsmuseumstoNigerianextyear.

贝宁青铜器曾用于装饰贝宁王国（现尼日利亚）的宫殿，这些金属艺术品是用一种名为“失蜡法”的工艺制作的，属世界最精美的雕塑之列。贝宁青铜器最早追溯到13世纪，被广泛认为是非洲最具魅力的文化瑰宝。年，英国军队突袭了贝宁市，抢走了数千件贝宁青铜器，导致这些文物散落于世界各国的博物馆和私人收藏家手中。这场突袭是对欧洲人在贝宁被杀事件的报复。这群欧洲人（包括几位英国官员）由于无视当地人的警告，在人们举行祭祀时贸然闯入，导致被杀。

这样的历史背景，再加上被抢掠的数量之多（上千件），贝宁青铜器成为了殖民主义的象征。在归还这些文物的国际呼声不断高涨的背景下，德国是首个明确了归还计划的国家。
